ever get around to running dirt pedals through this? I read a review suggesting the clean channel made his dirt pedals sound muddy like they were under a blanket. I want the versatility this amp offers for other metal styles and future projects i’m working on but the tone for one of my current project (or lack there of…. its very cold and sterile by intent) is centered entirely around 2 different distortion pedals and I need to be sure I still have access to that same sound. Is the review regarding dirt pedals pedals off base or fairly accurate.
If anyone is going to be unfairly mad at Bagpuss, it shall be I. It was only in later life that I learned there were only X episodes. As if this weren’t bad enough, it reopened a mental scar. Professor Yaffel did it
I bought this amp from Sweetwater.I can get very tasty tones, everything from Skynerd to Freddie King.I’ve had it about 7 months and love it.
You’re welcome. Glad it helped. This lens may be susceptible to dust - as is often the case with zooms that aren’t sealed.
Son of a …gun! Same lens, similar issue (except I don’t “think” that mine was alive..) and tried this with my “vibrating device” ;^) and it worked! My big blob of something just fell somewhere, and fortunately not onto the rear element - which would have been potentially worse than the front. Never would have thought of this…thanks. :-)
Have you seen the front of the Daily Mail today? The selling off of housing stock is referred to as a return to the home owning dream, yes that dreamy world where Maggie was in charge and all was right with the world.
*round of applause*. The promise to build one new social house for each existing one sold rings hollow- the figures I read suggest currently they’ve built between 1 for every 5 or ten they’ve sold off. Our local authority is currently putting the homeless in a Premier Inn as there is no social housing stock. That’s a good use of tax payers money isn’t it?
It’s not labelled a DI in any way but I have used it as one. Works rather well once you’ve added an IR.
Thanks for the review. I also have the IRT60H. I just want to ask you about the EFFECTS SEND on the IRT series. Does it send a DI signal? If so, this would be great to use for external IR’s! How good is the DI signal?
Despite all the crap that happens elsewhere, it is days like this which put everything into perspective. It’s a scar that’ll never heal, but you know friends are thinking of you.
Love and thoughts with you today mate. Can still remember that phone call like it was yesterday.
You may see the odd post from me where my Flickr account has posted. It’s not been as hard as I expected so far. Now I’ve removed the homescreen icons from my phone and PC to stop me going there out of habit I’m doing okay. But without Twitter I don’t know what I’m supposed to be annoyed about, I’ve already found myself being less annoyed. :)
Ah your presence will be missed - might end up writing like in the old days ;o)
“beard trimmer” :D
Think your composition has improved massively over the last few years. Some really nicely framed pictures :)
Hi, I was looking at this and a Marshall and a Blackstar. Your review clinched it for me. I have the 60w 212 combo and it sounds bloody awesome.

Hi Jesse. Thanks for reading. I’ll try to answer your questions - though it’s a while since I’ve tinkered with some of these things.
1, Yes as far as I can remember settings can be up or down.
2, Yes footswitches can change effects, instead of the toe switch. In fact you can even set the toe switch to something other than whatever the expression pedal is doing.
3, Yes you can use the expression pedal to mix between two amp models - and there are various ways of doing it. The most obvious being setting the channel volume of those amps - both on one expression pedal. Though you could be even more complex about it and set gain and EQ settings while you are at it. There are quite a few different ways of doing this - so it’s worth your time to experiment.
